Accounts

Super Star Online’s learning management system uses three types of accounts:

  • Site Administrator account
  • Teacher account
  • Student account

Site Administrators:

Each school site is given a Site Administrator. The Site Administrator can add other Site Administrators as well as Teachers and Students to Super Star Online. The only data required to be added when adding any user is to add a first name, a last name, a user/login name, and a password. All other information is optional. Site Administrators often add the grade of the student to help in assigning courses. Site Administrators can add users individual or they can import users into the system. In some cases, data is populated by an external program, such as Clever. Site Administrators have access to the class reports showing student performance and course usage.

Teacher users:

Super Star Online enables site administrators to create teacher accounts. Teachers can use their account to add student users to their class. Teachers also have access to reports showing student performance and usage.

Students:

Data is created by students when they work within each course assigned to them by the teacher. In most cases, student progress is tracked by the number of right or wrong answers completed in each game, some games may use a point system. The objective is to complete each activity in a course to earn a gold star. The Super Star Page displays the progress of the student. Students may share this report with their parents (or others), by logging into Super Star Online at home or any place that has an Internet connection.
